💡 Why we ran this experiment

As part of our mission of becoming the most cost-effective and sustainable channel for finding new guests, we are constantly testing new ideas and models to see if they can increase conversion rates, enquiry quality, responses and bookings.

❓What are the Host Pages?

The pages are designed to:

Old model (direct-to-listing)

❌  Users met with just 1 trip. If any trip aspect such as price, length or itinerary doesn’t suit their needs, they are likely to immediately bounce

❌  Hosts were on a pay-per-listing model managing multiple budgets, using up funds on multiple campaign learning phases and only able to promote a few trips - less scalability and efficiency

New model (landing pages)

User benefits:

✅ Instantly present a wide range of adventures for them to browse and read about

✅ Multiple listings covering different lengths, prices, dates, highlights etc

✅ Learn about the Host**’s brand,** building trust - the most critical factor in booking a trip

Host benefits:

✅ Warmer enquiries generated, as users spend the time finding what suits them best

✅ Higher conversion rates, as users don’t immediately bounce if 1 listing doesn’t suit them

✅ Higher response rates, users have been educated on the IA process and expecting communications directly from the Host
